49ers Enterprises ready more cash at Leeds United to sign Glen Kamara as £5m release clause emerges

Leeds United want to sign Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara after a release clause emerged in his contract and it seems as if the 49ers Enterprises are readying more cash for Daniel Farke to seal his second summer signing.

According to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth (21 July) the Whites’ interest in the Finland international was noted after internal talks were held at Elland Road.

The exit-bound Rangers maestro is currently seen as an “obtainable” target for Farke this summer having fallen way down the pecking order under Michael Beale at Ibrox

“Rangers’ Glen Kamara has also been looked at and with a release clause believed to be in the region of £5m would be another obtainable midfield target,” Smyth wrote.

hThe report wrote on 17 July that the 27-year-old has been looked at by Leeds for weeks with the Whites desperate to add to their midfield ranks follr Etan Aowing the confirmed departure of Marc Roca on Monday (17 July).

After the signing of Chelsea defende Etan mpadu, the now-confirmed new owners at Elland Road 49ers Enterprises are certainly set to hand Farke more cash to seal his second summer signing.

And following the departure of Roca, Brenden Aaronson and potentially more of his key players set to leave this summer, Kamara seems the perfect tonic for the German to continue his Elland Road rebuild.

Midfield is clearly an area of the pitch that needs desperate addressing and there aren’t many better midfielders available in the market at a knock-down £5m than Kamara.

Leeds United fans should not see Kamara’s situation at Rangers as a marker for him not being good enough to lead the midfield engine room at Elland Road because the Finnish international could represent a marquee acquisition if Daniel Farke gets this done.

With an all-action play style that blends a touch of quality with defensive steel, all the attributes are in place for this experienced stalwart to become the destructive and influential defensive midfield presence the club have been longing for since Kalvin Phillips.

Kamara would provide high-level experience having played internationally for Finland and also played in the Champions League for Rangers, and that could be vital in the push for promotion.

The 27-year-old is incredibly composed on the ball, possessing a tremendous range of passing and vision while also being effective out of possession, Kamara is just the tonic Farke needs to move the club forward especially with the Finnish maestro possessing the grand capabilities of becoming a key component in Farke’s progressive and possession-based approach.

With Rangers desperately looking to sell this summer, this is a signing the 49ers must certainly ready more cash for, given his £5m release clause. Kamara would be a superb addition to the club if they can get this don
