Konstantinos Mavropanos gives clue as Nottingham Forest make bid
The Stuttgart defender is not sure about a move to the Premier League but he has been linked to other European clubs.
Nottingham Forest are still pushing to sign defender Konstantinos Mavropanos according to journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos. However, the Stuttgart man reportedly does not feel ready for Premier League action.
Forest are said to have prepared a bid of around £8.5 million for the 25-year-old Greece international but the player is not convinced.
Mavropanos has reported interest from overseas in the form of Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan and Wolfsburg. Many of these teams offer him a more realistic chance of silverware and an alternative to the first tier of English football.
However, the centre-back is no stranger to English football. He joined Arsenal from PAS Giannina in 2018 but made fewer than 10 appearances for the Gunners.
During this underwhelming time at the Emirates, Mavropanos went on loan to Nuremberg, then Stuttgart before joining them on a permanent basis in 2022. He has impressed in his first season as a contracted Stuttgart player and speculation has mounted in that time.
