Former Middlebrough, Brentford and West Brom goalkeeper Luke Daniels joins Forest Green Rovers

Fifth new signing of the summer confirmed by Forest Green Rovers

Forest Green Rovers have signed experienced goalkeeper Luke Daniels.

The 35-year-old makes the move to The New Lawn after leaving Middlesbrough this summer.

He began his career at Manchester United’s Academy. He then spent 11 years at West Brom, which included loan spells to the likes of Shrewsbury Town, Tranmere Rovers and Bristol Rovers.

Daniels has spent the last six years at Championship level, spending four years at Brentford and the other two at Boro.

In total, Daniels has made over 220 EFL appearances, with the majority coming in League One.

“I’m delighted to be here,” said Daniels. “It’s been in the works over the last couple of weeks and it’s sped up over the last few days.
