David Moyes in behind-the-scenes bust-up at West Ham United, sack development emerges

David Moyes could be on the verge of the sack at West Ham as tensions reach breaking point over the ongoing feud with Tim Steidten, according to the Daily Mail.

Writing on their official website (4 August), the newspaper report that the manager’s future is under “serious threat” following a row over recruitment.

West Ham are the only club ni the Premier League yet to sign a new player, and the season kicks off next weekend against Bournemouth.

“David Moyes’ future at West Ham is under serious threat following a row over recruitment,” they wrote.

“Mail Sport understands that the Scot may depart in the near future leaving the Hammers searching for a manager ahead of the new season.

“Those tensions have now reached breaking point with a feeling that the departure of Moyes or Steidten is inevitable.

“It can also be disclosed that West Ham have a hit-list of replacements should Moyes be shown the door.”

Shambles

West Ham are an absolute shambles right now and it all stems from the decision to stick with Moyes at the end of last season.

While he won the Europa Conference League trophy, it was clear to many that his time at the club had run it’s course considering the Premier League campaign we had

The board’s decision to bring in Steidten was seen as a positive step forward for the club, but with Moyes sticking around he was never likely to be happy with giving up full control of recruitment and that has led to an absolute nightmare of a summer window so far.

It seems as though nobody has taken control and instead there is a battle, leaving the club in a precarious position heading into the new campaign.

A decision needs to be made quickly and if Moyes is to leave then a replacement would be needed immediately and then we can work towards building a squad in the final weeks of the window.

In other West Ham news, a Champions League club have tabled a £24.1m bid for this Hammers star with personal terms already agreed.
