Here are your Leeds United headlines on Friday, August 11.

Max Aarons’ Daniel Farke message after transfer u-turn

Max Aarons has sent a message to Daniel Farke after his transfer to Leeds United collapsed. Aarons had looked set to join Leeds on Wednesday, with a medical booked in for him in West Yorkshire.

But at the 11th hour, Bournemouth hijacked the move and any chances of a reunion between the former Norwich City pair was ended.

And after Aarons sealed his move to the Cherries, he sent a thank you to the Leeds boss for the key role he has played in his career so far.

“I want to say the biggest thank you to Daniel Farke, the man who gave me my debut and believed in me,” Aarons tweeted.

“The last few days have been a whirlwind and I’m massively grateful for everything he has done for me and wish him the biggest success moving forward.”

Joe Rodon’s Leeds United debut chances after summer of exclusion with Tottenham Hotspur

A full Leeds United debut is not out of the question for Joe Rodon on Saturday as he declares himself fit and ready to go. The 25-year-old barely had a kick in Tottenham Hotspur’s public friendlies this summer, but feels sharp enough to play immediately for Daniel Farke.

Charlie Cresswell and Pascal Struijk had been set to start the game as the club’s only fit, senior centre-backs not needed elsewhere, but Rodon now gives Farke another option. The Wales international has only started two competitive club games since mid-February.

“It’s a brutal league, it’s a difficult league and, of course, with all of the fixtures, it’s non-stop,” he told LUTV. “It’s one to look forward to and I always try to keep myself in good condition and, hopefully, in my head, I’m ready to go.”

Pascal Struijk outlines key to Leeds United’s Birmingham visit amid Daniel Farke style admission

Pascal Struijk admits that Leeds United cannot afford to keep giving away the first goal as he assessed the team’s early season progress under new manager Daniel Farke.

“I’m pleased with the win, it was very important for us to go through in this competition,” Struijk told LUTV.

“The first half was a little bit difficult, we didn’t really play out well enough. In the second half we got better control of the game and the goals came eventually.

“Like last weekend (against Cardiff) where we gave away two silly goals, most of the time we controlled the game and then Shrewsbury scored a goal out of nothing.
