Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares may not join Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Nuno Tavares from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The Italian journalist has reported on Twitter that Forest are in talks with Arsenal over a deal for Tavares.

However, the Gunners are not making it easy for the Reds.

Romano has added that there are other options for the 23-year-old Portugal left-back now, and that he may not move to the City Ground in the summer transfer window.

In our view, Arsenal should be firm on their stance on Nottingham Forest target Nuno Tavares in the summer transfer window.

We believe that the Gunners should not lower their demands for the 23-year-old left-back.

According to The Mirror in July 2021, Arsenal paid Benfica £6.8 million in transfer fees for the left-back.

The Gunners have to get more than that.

While Tavares has not been a huge success in the Premier League, he is 23 now and has the potential to improve.

And Arsenal do not have to sell any of their fringe players.

It is not as it if the North London club are struggling for money right now and would sell players on the cheap.

Tavares has made 22 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The left-back has scored one goal, given one assist and kept three clean sheets in those matches.
