wolves have make £20m transfer and everybody is sad about their decision inclouding

Wolves could soon make £20m transfer decision that would be bad news for Newcastle – opinion

When Newcastle United sign Lewis Hall from Chelsea, that should mean the Magpies’ summer transfer business is done.

It has been claimed that there will be no more signings after Hall, with Newcastle then turning their attention to outgoings.

Eddie Howe has plenty of players he still needs to get rid of, one of which is Ryan Fraser. Toon Sporting Director Dan Ashworth has recently stated that Newcastle are looking to move the Scot on, and talk of a move away surfaced this week.

Fraser has been linked with a move to Celtic, with Brendan Rodgers interested in signing the Newcastle winger.

A lot of pundits have had their say on Fraser possibly joining Celtic. From a Newcastle perspective, it would be perfect. We need to get him out the club, and the Hoops appear to be the only side that is keen right now.

We could really do with Celtic formalising their interest, but it appears that they have another Premier League player on their radar as well.

Celtic interested in Wolves winger Daniel Podence

It was reported earlier this week by the Scottish Sun that Wolverhampton Wanderers could move on Daniel Podence. He is reportedly valued at £12million, and was not involved in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Monday night.

A move away from Molineux appears to be on the cards, and the Portugal international is someone who Celtic are tracking.

Podence would be a much better signing for Celtic than Fraser. He is two years younger than the 29-year-old, and is a much more exciting player. He is quick and skillful, whereas Fraser has not played a competitive club game since October.

I don’t want to speak for Celtic fans, but it is surely safe to imagine that they would rather sign Podence than Fraser.

If the Celtic board feel the same then it could be bad news for Newcastle’s hopes of getting Fraser out of the club. If Wolves decide to cash in and let Podence head to Glasgow then Fraser will need to find another suitor, which is not ideal with less than two weeks to go before the transfer window slams shut.
