The third largest Signing In club History Today Was Completed In The Last 30 minutes

Tottenham is now anticipated to complete the third-largest signing in club history today, a “brilliant” player.

Brennan Johnson, a forward for Nottingham Forest, is anticipated to be signed by Tottenham Hotspur for £45 million today.

According to The Daily Mail’s transfer blog, which shared an update on Spurs’ acquisition of Johnson [01/09 07:16], such is the case.

Prior to tonight’s deadline, Ange Postecoglou has identified Johnson as his primary offensive target.

Over the past few days, Tottenham and Forest have been in intense negotiations over a transfer for the Welshman.

In fact, Ben Jacobs asserts that Spurs’ offer to sign Johnson is “imminent” as Postecoglou looks to strengthen his front line.

Additionally, it appears that Tottenham will finalise a £45 million deal to sign the 22-year-old today.

Tottenham anticipated bringing in Johnson
According to The Mail, Forest is anticipated to sell Johnson to Spurs today for about £45 million.

Johnson would rank as the club’s third most expensive signing of all time if Spurs are successful in getting this one through the legal system.

The list’s current leader, Tanguy Ndombele, was acquired for £63 million back in 2019, while Richarlison was acquired for £60 million last summer.

Given that Johnson has only one season of Premier League experience, it would undoubtedly be a significant expenditure for Spurs.

The ‘great’ forward, however, had a promising season the last time around, scoring eight goals and dishing out three assists.

This would also be a blatant sign that Tottenham is supporting their manager, as Postecoglou is rumoured to be’very keen’ to sign the winger.
