Sheffield Wednesday advised they needed to give the test against Leeds United their all.
At Elland Road, Owls manager Xisco Munoz is aware that his team will have a difficult assignment against Daniel Farke’s team.

When Sheffield Wednesday takes on Leeds United at Elland Road today, manager Xisco Munoz has cautioned his team they cannot afford any mistakes. The Owls, who have played four Championship games so far without recording a point, travel the short distance across Yorkshire.

They face a Leeds team that has gained confidence from a recent 4-3 victory over Ipswich Town and several new additions that have helped Daniel Farke’s team after a rocky start to the season. While Willy Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra were recalled to the team after missing a large portion of the season’s beginning, Joel Piroe scored on his debut at Portman Road.

Few people believe the Owls have much of a chance to surprise today as a result, but Munoz is aware that Yorkshire pride is on the line. He will also ensure that his team is entirely focused on the difficulties Leeds will provide as well as the atmosphere at Elland Road.

We cannot allow ourselves to unwind during any part of the game, he insisted. “We need to provide 200%, and my duty is to attempt to instill confidence in the players.

“We need to pay close attention for 95 minutes, put in a lot of effort, and play well. In some parts of the game, we won’t have the ball, yet we still need to be at 200% and my job is to try and give the players confidence.

Munoz is aware that his team has recently suffered greatly as a result of individual errors, but he is optimistic that things will improve soon.

We are dissatisfied in our performance; at the last minute, one of us made a mistake, costing us the opportunity to win,” he continued. “To succeed, we must put forth a lot of effort. Everyone aspires to improve.

“I want to attempt to get points for our supporters. Given that nobody enjoys these circumstances, I can relate to how they are feeling. We will soon be overjoyed about the outcomes and performances, I have no doubt.

correct now, we have a strong chance of winning against Leeds. We just need to find the correct balance to do it, and we’re getting there. We are energised and ready to transform the situation, and I have faith in the lads.
