Talented Asset: Club’s SD Applauds Tottenham Hotspur Signing Of Youngster

Sporting director of Grasshopper Club Zurich Bernt Haas is confident that his team has signed excellent teenage defender Maksim Paskotsi from Tottenham Hotspur.

He enrolled in the Spurs academy in 2020, and in a Europa Conference League playoff game in 2021, he made his professional club debut.

The 20-year-old defender, who played 17 times for Tottenham Under-21s, will now continue his career at Grasshopper in Switzerland.

The young defender was transferred to the Zurich giants this year after Tottenham decided to cash in on him.

In the Swiss capital, he will expect to play more senior games, and Hass thinks his team has found another outstanding young defender.

The Grasshoppers’ sports director asserted that his hiring is consistent with the team’s objectives of bringing in excellent young players.

“I am delighted with Maksim’s arrival; With him, we have another option in defence who is versatile,” he said, according to the club’s official website.

“We continue to seek out talented individuals who can serve as the foundation of a prosperous GC Zurich in the future.”

Paskotsi, who plays only sometimes for Tottenham but is a full-fledged Estonian international, has 18 senior caps to his credit.
