Joe Worrall, the captain of Nottingham Forest, is eager to sign a new deal at the City Ground. In the summer of 2024, the player’s contract with the Reds will expire.
The 26-year-old is Forest in every way. He would dearly love to commit his long-term future and bleeds the red and white of the football team.
Worrall and Forest need to resolve this issue. He is currently leading the club by example and playing the best football he has ever played for the Reds.
The defender was yesterday on TalkSPORT being questioned about club matters. He was questioned about the contract talks he’s having with the team and himself, and he’s eager to resolve them.
Nothing has been announced yet, Worrall said to TalkSPORT. Although we haven’t heard from the club yet, we hope to extend our relationship with Forest. Considering that it’s my club and the place I want to play football, maybe an agreement can be reached soon.
Worrall wants to extend Forest’s stay, thus Forest needs to try to resolve this issue quickly. The Reds cannot afford to continue to allow Worrall to play some of his best football of his career for much longer.
There are still years ahead of the 26-year-old. Although Worrall’s progression in the Premier League has been sluggish, he is finally beginning to display his class.
Worrall also aids the club in meeting its requirement for homegrown players, and Forest is eager to reward good play. They won’t want to lose another graduate of the academy after losing Brennan Johnson this summer.
Worrall merits a new deal. He always goes above and above when needed, and right now he is demonstrating what a great captain he is for Forest.
Steve Cooper is a big Worrall enthusiast. Therefore, it won’t be long until Worrall makes a commitment.
