Wolves want to make a late deal transfer with a star player from premier league

Due to a selection error against Wolves, Jurgen Klopp acknowledges that a Liverpool player was relieved to leave.
At Molineux, Liverpool put on a sluggish first half performance before battling back to win 3-1 on goals from Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson as well as an own goal by Hugo Bueno.

Alexis Mac Allister suffered the most during Liverpool’s lacklustre first half performance at Wolves, according to Jurgen Klopp, and he was replaced at halftime.

Midweek, Mac Allister represented Argentina in a World Cup qualifier in Bolivia. He was seen needing an oxygen tube after the game because the match was played at a very high altitude.

The former Brighton midfielder was possibly the worst offender for Liverpool throughout the opening 45 minutes, as a spirited Wolves team capitalised and went up 1-0 through Hwang Hee-chan.

By halftime, the hosts might have, and probably should have, increased their advantage, but after Klopp substituted Luis Diaz for Mac Allister, the Reds fought back into the contest. Following a close-range goal by Cody Gakpo off a cross from Mo Salah, Salah set up Andy Robertson to score the game-winning goal with five minutes remaining. Then, for a 3-1 score, Hugo Bueno tipped a shot from Harvey Elliott into his own goal.

The first half was so poor that, according to Klopp, “the good thing about it was that I didn’t think we could play the second half like that,” he remarked. Without a doubt, we would have preferred to begin entirely differently, but for whatever reason, it was not feasible for the

Low energy, Macca [Mac Allister], and several others as well; you could tell they were having a hard time. We decided to alter the system and one player instead of changing five players at halftime to give us a little more natural speed up front.

Although he had some strong moments in the first half, he was relieved to leave the game.

Given his team’s troubles, Robertson, who served as Liverpool’s captain for the day, said that the locker room got hot at halftime, but he was happy that they were able to complete the task in the end.

When TNT Sports asked Robertson what was said at halftime, he responded, “I can tell you some of it, but probably not all of it. Look, we can make all kinds of excuses about guys travelling halfway across the world and then the early kick-off, but the first half was simply subpar.

“They had a better squad, and they generated more opportunities while we committed too many errors. However, we came out in the second half with a somewhat different formation and had players pushing higher up the pitch.
