Major injury blow confirmed by Premier League team before Nottingham Forest matchup

The most recent Nottingham Forest news is that when Forest plays Man City at the Etihad Stadium, Brentford will be the next Premier League team to visit the City Ground.

Rico Henry, a full-back, had a major knee injury and is anticipated to miss the balance of the season, according to Brentford.

The 26-year-old, who had completed all 90 minutes of each league game for the Bees thus far this season, was substituted out of the weekend loss to Newcastle United in the 42nd minute. After a struggle with Kieran Trippier for the ball, he

clumsily collapsed.

The’significant’ knee injury Henry sustained has now been verified by Brentford, who also announced that he will have surgery to fix the issue before beginning his recovery. Just over a week before Forest hosts Brentford at the City Ground, the news is announced.

Henry has been a member of Brentford since the summer of 2016, making him the team’s longest-tenured player. In the Premier League last season, he appeared in 37 games overall, missing just one due to injury.

The defensive player has had to recover from a catastrophic knee injury before. Due to a knee injury sustained in a Championship match against Middlesbrough, he was sidelined from October 2017 until November 2018.

Neil Greig, the head of medical for Brentford, provided a statement on their official website confirming the information. He remarked, “Rico will need surgery in the next week or so and, regrettably, a protracted period of recovery.” Despite the disappointment, Rico is already focused on using this as a chance to get stronger and fitter than before because he has had a similar experience in the past. We shall be by his side every step of the way.

Prior to their match against Brentford, Forest must travel to the Etihad Stadium to play Man City. Man City will play Crvena Zvezda at the Etihad Stadium tonight (Tuesday) in Champions League action, while Forest has already started preparing for the match.
