The cyclist killed in the collision in Norwich “will never be forgotten”

A “inspiring” swimming coach who was killed while bicycling after colliding with a car has received tributes.

In Norwich, it happened near the intersection of Albemarle Road and Newmarket Road.

The woman, identified locally as Jane Blackwell, according to police, passed away on the scene on Sunday.

Her former swimming team’s statement that she would “never be forgotten” was accompanied by floral tributes left at the scene by others who knew her.

Her “positive impact on so many lives” was stated on one of the cards.

The head junior coach at City of Norwich Swimming Club was Mrs. Blackwell, who was in her 60s and had been there for 12 years.

She was a “brilliant swimming coach who went above and beyond, inspiring and championing her swimmers,” according to the club.

“Jane coached more than 1,000 swimmers in Norfolk and made a huge difference to every single one,” the club continued.

“We will miss you terribly, but we won’t ever forget you. Jane, rest in peace.
