Injury update for Bristol City: Forward will play against Leicester, which is good news for a crucial duo

Andi Weimann will be in the Bristol City lineup when they take on Leicester City on Saturday, according to Nigel Pearson, who also provided encouraging reports on Tommy Conway and Ross McCrorie.
Weimann has only played 26 minutes for City so far this season due to foot tendon injuries, but his manager said during the pre-Foxes press conference that the captain will play on Saturday.
The excellent striker Conway is expected to resume training in the upcoming weeks, which is another encouraging news for the Robins. In City’s Championship opener against Preston North End six weeks ago, the Scot was taken out after just 21 minutes due to a hamstring injury, and he has been recovering ever since. The 60-year-old stated, “He’s (Conway) well on track to be back sometime in October, which is great, he’s doing very very well.”

Rob Atkinson and Ayman Benarous are both sidelined due to their own ACL issues, joining the duo. The midfielder and defender both received reports from the manager.
“We have a group of players who for them it’s been very difficult looking in from the outside, but they’re moving closer to hopefully what will be a positive outcome for all of them,” Pearson continued. “Rob Atkinson is doing very well too, and Ayman Benarous is on track.”
Atkinson’s absence has been less problematic than initially anticipated because to Kal Naismith’s comeback and the addition of summer acquisition Rob Dickie, while Benarous’ harrowing injury history appears to be improving.
