Wolves genuinely wanted to sign a £13 million star in January, but an injury derailed the deal.

In Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Wolves may have a new crowd favourite on their hands. It has recently been reported that the club sought to recruit Bellegarde back in January.

On Saturday at Molineux, the Frenchman faced Liverpool in his first game.

Wolves eventually lost 3-1 despite taking the lead thanks to Hwang Hee-chan.

Many Wolves players, especially rookie Bellegarde, performed admirably despite the team’s loss.

The 25-year-old played with genuine assurance and pushed forward whenever he had the chance.

Fans are eager to see more of him because of how well he hooked up with another player who really shone out, Pedro Neto.

Wolves’ final summer acquisition, Bellegarde, cost little under £13 million. But if not for an unforeseen injury he sustained, he might have been able to join the team sooner.

This morning, The Athletic revealed that Wanderers did consider acquiring Bellegarde during the January transfer window.

Bellegarde, Wolves’ penultimate summer addition, cost little under £13 million. He could have been able to join the club sooner, though, had it not been for an unexpected injury he suffered.

Bellegarde finally arrived, and he appears to be a player.
This assertion concerning Wolves’ newest recruit is intriguing.

The fact that Wolves didn’t sign Bellegarde in January ultimately didn’t matter all that much.

Because the team added Mario Lemina and Joao Gomes, they were able to avoid being relegated.

Fortunately, Wolves remained interested in Bellegarde and rushed in to sign him on the final day of the transfer window.

His debut versus Liverpool was really encouraging.

He appears to be a player that likes to run a lot and is another excellent ball carrier.
