finally Rangers getting return on

Opinion: Rangers are now receiving their $3 million plus Premier League investment back.

For once, Rangers supporters are not booing former Liverpool defender Ben Davies as boos echo throughout Ibrox.

The huge center-back, who was on the verge of leaving for the summer, is turning out to be an important player for Michael Beale, which is a rare Ibrox positive amid a month or so of true frustration.

The player’s tenure in Glasgow has been plagued by injuries, organisational issues, and a severe lack of confidence. He was reportedly signed for a reputed £3 million increasing to £4 million from Liverpool last season.

Due to the failure of a loan bid from Stoke City on Deadline Day, it was speculated that Rangers wanted to offload the player this summer.

Ben Davies, who insisted he wanted to establish himself at Rangers, has, nevertheless, appeared to be every bit the capable defender Liverpool once believed in him.

That is true even if he never played for the Reds.

Ben Davies’ impact on Rangers has been positive.
The center-back was chosen Man of the Match against Real Betis and for good reason—he was more capable in the challenge and more in control of the game.

The center-back collaborated with Abdallah Sima, who was ultimately given the goal, to stab the game’s lone goal into the back of the net.

Ben Davies’ best performance in a Rangers jersey to date was this, and the defender carried on that trend against Motherwell at Ibrox.

At full-time, the team was jeered off the field by the crowd, which was not just directed at the former Preston center-back despite the awful performance, which Ibrox has, regrettably, become accustomed to this season.

In fact, the player’s ascent is in large part responsible for Rangers’ ability to keep three straight clean sheets since their return from the most recent international break.

With Connor Goldson, Ben Davies is creating a strong center-back pairing, and as long as Rangers aren’t giving up goals, the defender is certain to keep his spot.

The starting spot now appears to his Ben Davies’ to lose after Scotland international John Souttar struggled early in the season.
