“A world-class player” – Fulham man backed to

Fulham player backed to overcome challenges is “a world-class player” and “exceptional” both as a person and a player.

Leo Bonatini, a former teammate of Raul Jimenez’s at Wolves, has defended the Mexican forward, saying he is “world-class.”

In a recent conversation with Record from Mexico, Bonatini endorsed the striker.

Jimenez joined Fulham this summer in a €6.4 million transfer from Wolves as they looked to fill some of the vacuum left by the loss of Aleksandr Mitrovic.

After a challenging season with Wolves and Mexico the previous year, he was hoped the transfer to Craven Cottage would give his career the boost it needed.

Since recovering from the broken skull he sustained against Arsenal in 2020, he has struggled to regain his previous form, and despite Marco Silva giving him a starting place and a lot of faith, he has yet to score for Fulham in seven games this season.
The Portuguese manager has made a point of praising and supporting his striker whenever possible in an effort to lift his spirits and stand by him in the face of mounting worry and criticism.

The hope is that he will return to scoring soon, and Bonatini seems to think so, claiming his former teammate is a world-class player.

He declared, “He is an excellent player.

“I also played against him when he visited Wolves and in Portugal.”

He is a player of the highest calibre and taught us a lot.

We were thrilled to welcome a player like him to the team when he first joined. He and I didn’t communicate much because I was a little more reserved, but both he and his father are quite decent people.
