‘Bad one’ for Rabbi Matondo in Rangers’ victory against Motherwell
According to Michael Beale, Rabbi Matondo’s injury in Rangers’ 1-0 victory over Motherwell appears to be “a bad one.”

Following the international break, the Light Blues won their third straight game, but their performance on Sunday (September 24) was far from convincing, and the Ibrox fans greeted the final whistle with a chorus of boos.

Matondo was forced off the pitch with an injury midway through the first half after taking a blow to the outside of his knee, and with Tom Lawrence, Todd Cantwell, and Kieran Dowell already in the medical room, the Welshman could not replace them. This caused even greater frustration for Beale and the supporters.

be gone for some time.

He received damage to the outside of his knee. I was told that knowledge, then.
Although Rangers have received a lot of justifiable criticism for their performances thus far this year, it does seem as though Beale’s team was practically cursed with injuries in the early going, particularly in their assault.

Cantwell and Dowell have been sidelined since the international break, Lawrence appeared to have fully recovered from his season-long injury, and Danilo suffered a horrific cheekbone injury after finally appearing to have

Matondo now appears to be out for a lengthy period of time, just as he was beginning to establish himself as a regular starter in Beale’s starting XI after starting both the victory over Real Betis in the Europa League and the victory over Motherwell on Sunday.

Hopefully, the Welsh winger’s injury isn’t as serious as initially thought, but if he had sustained a significant blow to the outside of his knee, a player might suffer significant damage and be sidelined for a considerable amount of time.

Beale cannot afford to have his choices for attack more constrained. He must begin acquiring some new players if he wants to avoid losing any more to injury.

In other Rangers news, Ben Davies and Connor Goldson have continued their 100 per cent unbeaten record with the Light Blues
