Major injury boost for Tottenham Hotspur as star returns to light training

Ryan Sessegnon, a wingback for Tottenham Hotspur, has resumed light training after recovering from hamstring surgery, according to the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old hasn’t played since February of this year, when he injured his hamstring.

He missed the start of the campaign under new Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, who has had a great first season in charge.

After recouping from the surgery, the wing-back is currently making slow progress towards returning to the field. The Tottenham medical staff is reportedly closely monitoring his recovery when he resumes training.

-ADVERTISEMENT-Sessegnon is anticipated to return to training on grass soon, barring any new problems.

He still has a ways to go before joining the rest of the Tottenham first team players in training.

The most recent development, though, is a significant boon for both the player and the team as he works to recover from his protracted injury layoff.

Tottenham recently lost Ivan Perisic to injury, but in the upcoming weeks, Sessegnon may provide another option.
