Sad News For Huddersfield

Injury status for Ruffels, Ward, and Kasumu for Huddersfield Town ahead of Ipswich Town
For Saturday’s difficult Championship match against in-form Ipswich Town, new Huddersfield Town boss Darren Moore anticipates Josh Ruffels to be healthy and ready to play again.

Josh Ruffels is expected to be ready to play in Huddersfield Town’s upcoming Championship match against Ipswich Town, according to the team. Because of a minor groyne injury acquired against Stoke City, the adaptable defender missed Monday’s draw against Coventry City.

However, when questioned about Ruffels’ absence, new manager Darren Moore responded, “I think Josh [Ruffels] was more of a precaution actually. We anticipate his return in time for the weekend.

Danny Ward’s participation in Saturday’s Tractor Boys match at John Smith’s Stadium is still uncertain. Due to an Achilles issue, the striker has missed the last three games.

“I’d have to see with the medical team with regards to Wardy, where he’s at when we get back, so I’m 50/50 with him,” said Moore.

Moore responded, “With David [Kasumu], we don’t think David is going to be fit for the weekend. David injured his hamstring in the Stoke match. He’ll probably miss the weekend due to his ailment.

“The last two days I’ve just been solid with the team, so I think I’ll probably have more information at the weekend really in terms of where he is with his prognosis. We’ll find out more about that, I’m sure, as the week progresses.”

To win in Moore’s first home game as manager, Town will have their work cut out for them. Ipswich is now second in the Championship after winning seven of their first eight games this year.

Moore, though, was quite encouraged by their performance at Coventry in the second half. We believe they still have more potential given the talent they’ve already displayed.

“I believe there is yet more from them that we haven’t seen. More self-assurance, time together, and getting to know them better will bring about that.

“I’m certain that they will show us more as the days and weeks pass. Keep up the commitment and effort moving forward, I advised them. It’s a component that all elite teams possess.
