In response to a claim that a lady was seriously sexually assaulted in Ipswich, police are looking for witnesses or information.
Between midnight and 1:30 am on Friday, September 29, the event happened at a towpath adjacent to the stake park at Stoke Bridge in the heart of the town.
The victim, a lady in her 30s, claimed that two males led her towards some bushes next to the towpath. The perpetrators then fled the scene after the victim was raped.
As investigations into the entire circumstances of the tragedy continue, a police scene is currently in place.
Officers who have received specialised training are assisting the victim.
Local law enforcement is patrolling the area, so anyone with concerns is urged communicate with them.
Detectives are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry in an effort to identify the suspect or suspects, and they are asking anyone who may have seen the incident, has CCTV footage in the area, or noticed any other suspicious activity around the time of the offence to get in touch with police and provide the reference number 37/57274/23 via:
