cold war moving on now

Celtic vs. Lazio: Drama erupts before the Champions League game, leading to “Cold War”

This week, Celtic get ready to host Lazio for their second Champions League group round match.

Both Lazio and Brendan Rodgers’ team, who now hold the bottom two spots in Group E, need a victory to keep their slim chances of moving on to the next round alive.

Domestically, Lazio is now 15th in Serie A and Celtic are currently atop the Scottish Premiership.

There are problems at the Rome club, and this week’s game versus Celtic is important. There have even been rumours that manager Maurizio Sarri may be leaving soon.

Sarri said he doesn’t have the team he wants and isn’t totally satisfied with the summer transfer window after Lazio’s Saturday 2-0 loss to AC Milan.
Claudio Lotito, the club’s president, stated publicly that Lazio had a terrific window and much more is expected, which hasn’t gone over so well.

Sarri thinks the team’s second-place performance from the previous season was an unlikely triumph, while Lotito thinks it demonstrated the team’s true calibre.

A “Cold War” is allegedly starting, according to Corriere dello Sport, ahead of the Celtic game. It is unclear whether that will benefit Brendan Rodgers or not, and the drama may have either positive or negative effects.
