What a big blow for wolves best player died during surgery

After summer surgery, a Wolves player is expected to make his season debut. four months later, back on the pitch

Gonçalo Guedes, a loanee from Wolverhampton Wanderers, is about to resume playing.

The winger hasn’t played since May 21 due to a knee ailment that required surgery, but Record reports that he should return to the pitch this week.

Guedes had already been working out with the Benfica team, but as manager Roger Schmidt said, there is a significant difference between his working out and actually participating in a match.

Since Benfica’s important Clássico match against Porto is on Friday at the Estádio da Luz, it appears that the Eagles held him back for the ideal opportunity.

That’s fantastic news for the Wolves, who have obviously been closely monitoring the situation.

Guedes was previously on loan to Benfica from the Molineux team in January of this year. The Eagles requested that the stay be prolonged in the summer since he had trouble with injuries and required surgery.
Due to the player’s limited marketability while recovering from surgery, Wolves were forced to loan him back to the Eagles for an additional season.

It’s now up to Guedes to establish himself at Benfica and possibly persuade them to pursue a permanent transfer at the end of the current campaign.
