He is a stumbling block to us

Following a disappointing stay at North End, Leicester City will play PNE.

Stephy Mavididi, a forward for Leicester City, is scheduled to face Preston North End tonight, about six years after a disastrous Deepdale loan.

Tonight, North End will travel to the King Power Stadium and will have a challenging assignment ahead of them.

The Foxes’ team for the Championship is downright ludicrous, despite their May Premier League relegation.

Leicester is now ranked second in the Championship standings with just three points lost under the direction of former Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca.

PNE will face a difficult assignment tonight against Leicester, who are the clear favourites to advance after scoring 18 goals and surrendering only six.

When will Stephy Mavididi take on PNE?
For the first time since his loan stint with the team, North End will face Foxes forward Stephy Mavididi in this match.

In August 2017, PNE pounced to get Mavididi from Arsenal on loan, then Alex Neil swooped for a season-long deal.

Neil gave Mavididi a lot of praise, calling him a “perfect fit” for North End and encouraging him to develop into a “real top player” in the future.

But Mavididi wasn’t really at his best; he only made 11 appearances for PNE and didn’t provide a single goal or assist.

In January 2018, Mavididi was called back by Arsenal and, after having trouble with North End, was immediately transferred to Charlton Athletic.

Mavididi is making his first appearance against PNE since leaving the team tonight, and he has improved greatly while wearing a PNE jersey.

PNE supporters were perplexed when Juventus swooped to recruit Mavididi in the summer of 2018, just months after the player struggled at Deepdale. Mavididi has now emerged as a star.

Mavididi began his career with the Juventus Under-23 team before making an impression while on loan at Dijon. His performance there led to a 2020 permanent transfer to Montpellier.

Mavididi, who is now 25 years old, made good progress while playing for Montpellier, scoring 21 goals in 98 games before Leicester paid £6.4 million to buy him in the summer.

Mavididi has already contributed to the Foxes’ success with two goals and two assists in 10 games.

Mavididi would undoubtedly enjoy scoring tonight, as it would allow him to demonstrate to PNE supporters how much he has progressed over the past few years.
