McRae confesses commitment he instantly broke to his wife.

Before Collingwood’s victory in the grand final, Craig McRae made the critical mistake of telling his team members about his impending pregnancy.

McRae, 50, gave birth to his first child with wife Gabrielle on the morning of the championship game, and he was overcome with happiness on Saturday.

Only a few hours after Maggie was born, McRae presided over the Pies’ illustrious victory that put an end to their 13-year drought for a championship. He declared on stage at the MCG that “today was already the best day of my life” since “my wife gave birth to a little girl this morning at 7:45.”

“So darling, I’m bringing the cup home tonight; I love you!”

To his Pies team, whom he has referred to as his “44 sons” throughout the season, McRae broke the news before the opening bounce.

But when he announced the happy update, he made an incredible error.

He admitted to SEN, “I thought I’d be really emotional.” Before Maggie was born, I had a plan involving the 44 boys on my shirt as a legacy item.

I anticipated feeling fairly emotional about it. I desired to be joyous rather than sentimental.

Anyway, I genuinely said, “Boys, I’ve got 44 sons on my shirt and today’s already the best day of my life because we’ve had a son,” in my crazed attempt to get it out. nonetheless, we had a girl!

This is how absurd it was. The players start to yell, so I put up a photo of Maggie there, and they started to say, “That’s a strange boy’s name.” I was a complete mess.

McRae had stated that he had no intention of sharing the pregnancy news with the public and that his wife was surprised by his admission.

I must admit that I am a private guy, McRae said to Fox Footy. “My wife and I really value our privacy.”

“This is how private we are,” the author remarked. “I said ‘I’m not telling anybody we’ve had the kid’ and then I started to think ‘oh, maybe I’ll tell the players’ and then there’s tape of me acting a little goofy in the rooms.

After the game, I announced it to the world. ‘What happened?’ she asks. It was just the exhilaration of it all, I guess.

McRae revealed the unique experience of becoming a father to his two girls from his first marriage.

The man replied, “I’m trying not to cry, but it’s such an incredible thing.” “Only the bliss. If you’re fortunate enough to be a parent, you’ll understand how precious this time is and how much your wife did and is still doing.

You spend two hours wiping away tears before going to the championship game. It’ll be a day that never happens again.

Last year, McRae wed Gabrielle, and

After his victory on Saturday, McRae told Channel 7 that his wife is “incredible.” She didn’t tell me she was in labour when she went into it yesterday afternoon; she just said she wasn’t feeling well.

‘You better come to the hospital, this baby’s coming,’ said the caller at around 6:00 this morning.

It simply seems to have gotten a little bit better, yet this is already the best day of my life.
