Running Back for the Virginia Tech Hokies According to ACC Release, Bhayshul Tuten has been chosen ACC Player of the Week for the second week in a row. Tuten was selected the ACC Specialist of the Week for his work on kick returns against Florida State. The outstanding tailback returned four kicks for 156 yards, including a 99-yard touchdown return to start the second half against Florida State.

Tuten has only returned four kickoffs for 97 yards before to joining the Florida State football team. On Saturday, he more than quadrupled his productivity as a specialist, winning ACC Player of the Week honours and setting the record for most return yards by an ACC player this season.

For his performance against Pittsburgh a week ago, he was voted the ACC Running Back of the Week.

This season, Bhayshul Tuten has ran 69 times for 330 yards (4.2 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. In addition, he has 16 receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns. The 5-foot-11-inch, 205-pound tailback has returned 8 kickoffs for 256 yards and 1 score as a Specialist.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference Football Players of the Week have been recognized for their standout performances in Week 6 of the season. The selections are determined by a vote of a select media panel. The following are this week’s honorees:

QUARTERBACK – Drake Maye, North Carolina, QB, Huntersville, N.C.
Maye completed 33-of-47 passes for a season-high 442 yards and three touchdowns in North Carolina’s 40-7 win over Syracuse. He added 55 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground. Carolina amassed 424 yards of total offense in the first half, including 280 through the air from Maye. By the end of the game, UNC piled up a season-high 644 yards.

Trey Benson, Florida State, running back, Greenville, Miss.
Benson carried for 200 yards on 11 attempts for an average of 18.2 yards per attempt, setting a Florida State school record for 10-plus carries. He ran for 62 and 85 yards for touchdowns, the longest runs of his career and FSU’s two longest plays of the season. Benson’s 200 yards rushing were the most for FSU in a game since Dalvin Cook in 2016. He also became the first Seminole since 2012 to have two 60-yard touchdown runs in the same game. With an average of 7.63 yards per rush this season, he leads the ACC and is sixth nationally.

RECEIVER – Nate McCollum, North Carolina, WR, Atlanta, Ga.
McCollum helped to spearhead a North Carolina offense that put up 40 points in a home win over Syracuse. The wide receiver recorded seven receptions for 135 yards, an average of 19.6 yards per catch, with a long of 48 yards in the conference win. The weekly honor is his second of the season.

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN – Darius Washington, Florida State, LT, Pensacola, Fla.
Behind Washington and the Florida State offensive line, the Seminoles ran for 282 yards on 36 carries, an average of 7.8 yards per rush. Running back Trey Benson had a career day with 200 yards on 11 carries, while quarterback Jordan Travis was 18-for-24 for 170 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Virginia Tech. The Noles crossed the 30-point mark for the 11th straight time, which is tied for the second-longest streak in ACC history and the second-longest active streak nationally.
