Cincinnati Bengals have finally announce why their coach must be dismissed

49ers quarterback Brock Purdy receives an unusual injury update that has nothing to do with a concussion.

QB Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers completed concussion protocol late in the week, putting him on track to start against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8. While there was some concern that Purdy wouldn’t be ready after having some concussion symptoms following the 49ers’ defeat to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night, Purdy participated in practise throughout the week in order to help the 49ers stop a two-game losing streak in Week 8.

While the concussion was concerning for Purdy and the 49ers, Troy Aikman revealed another concerning injury update during the Monday Night Football broadcast, as Dianna Russini of The Athletic explained.

“On the most recent Monday Night Football broadcast on ESPN, Troy Aikman mentioned that Brock Purdy’s elbow isn’t 100 percent after speaking with the quarterback during pre-game warmups.” Set the alarms. Purdy’s elbow is actually 100 percent healthy, according to 49ers general manager John Lynch, who said on KNBR that he just has to perform more pregame warmups with his throwing arm to “get it right.” Lynch stated that he is confident on the pitch. I confirmed this with some team sources, and everything lines up.”

Brock Purdy’s Week 8 status

Purdy is ready to start at quarterback in Week 8 despite maybe not being 100 percent due to last week’s concussion and his continued recuperation from elbow surgery. Purdy has been one of the league’s most dependable quarterbacks thus far, completing 68 percent of his throws and posting an 11-to-3 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Purdy is on his first losing skid as a starting quarterback after straight losses to the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings. It’s new territory for the 49ers’ second-year quarterback out of Iowa State, who has won multiple games in a succession as a starter after being the last selection in the draught and starting games last year.

During the Week 8 clash with the Cincinnati Bengals, we’ll keep a watch on Brock Purdy’s injury status and elbow.
