Goodbye everyone: Key player sends a message about his departure

Sean Payton sends a strong warning to the Denver Broncos.
“We’re going to play in bigger games than that.”

The Denver Broncos won a significant and dominant victory over division rival Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, ending a 16-game losing run to Kansas City with a 24-9 triumph.

It was an unquestionably important victory, but Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton made it clear after the game that the club had greater goals than just a regular-season game versus the Chiefs, saying, “We’re going to play in bigger games than that.”

“It’s an important game for us. It wasn’t streak-driven,” Payton said during his press conference via the Denver Broncos official transcript. “It was important for us to play well before the bye (week). Getting our third win — we dug ourselves in a hole. Obviously, we’re playing a good team…. There were a lot of things to look at that were positive. We’re going to play in bigger games than that, but it is a division game, and I’m glad we won.”

The Broncos started the season with a 1-5 record, but they have since won back-to-back games and appear to be getting better by the week. It’s far too early to predict that the club will return to the playoffs, but they appear to have recovered somewhat.
