Sad news : uttah jazz have just lost their best player due to

Walker Kessler, the rookie centre for the Utah Jazz, misses two weeks due to an elbow injury.INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Utah Jazz will be without starting center Walker Kessler for at least the next two weeks because of an injured left elbow.

Team officials made the announcement Wednesday before its game at Indiana.

Kessler, a first-team all-rookie selection last season, was injured during a season-opening loss to the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 25. After initially trying to play through the pain, doctors determined he injured the ulnar collateral ligament and that the best remedy would be avoiding contact for two more weeks. Then he will be re-evaluated.

He is averaging 7.9 rebounds and 8.3 points.

“We monitor our players’ well-being on a daily basis, and in the past day or so, it has attracted a lot more attention,” said coach Will Hardy. “Walker will not offer justifications for his theatrical productions. I therefore refuse to do that as well.

There will be lineups that we haven’t yet seen that you will see. Of course, a few players who will be making their season debuts should be started.
