I won’t player again : Oklahoma star player have left the club for………..

Three-star wide receiver Jeff Lebby leaves Oklahoma football for Mississippi State.
A 3-star recruit to Oklahoma football was lost as a result of Mississippi State’s hiring of Jeff Lebby as their new head coach.

Dozie Ezukanma, a three-star wide receiver, has decided to leave Oklahoma football. He made this announcement on X (previously Twitter).

“After careful consideration and reflection, I have made the decision to recommit from the University of Oklahoma. This choice is not made lightly. I’d like to thank OU and the coaching staff for the incredible opportunity given to me.”

Following the appointment of Jeff Lebby as the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ next head coach, Ezukanma made his choice. Under Brent Venables, Lebby oversaw Oklahoma football’s offensive coordinatorship from the 2022 season until the 2023 regular season.

For Oklahoma football, the hope is that no one pursues Ezukanma once more in the open recruiting field. According to 247 Sports, the Sooners currently have 27 “hard commits” for the 2024 campaign, including two 5-stats, 16 four-stars, and 19 three-stars.

Ezukanma may choose to attend the next school that expressed interest in him instead of deciding to play for the Sooners. In addition to Oklahoma football, he received offers from other teams, including the Miami Hurricanes, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Arizona Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas State Wildcats, Texas &M Aggies, and Oregon Ducks.

Ezukanma, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, led Timber Creek with 1,210 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns.

Despite Ezukanma’s withdrawal, the Sooners finished the 2023 college football regular season with a 10-2 overall record and a 7-2 conference schedule, effectively eliminating them from the running for the College Football Playoffs.
