Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks finalise their trade.
Sam Lafferty, a forward, was traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Vancouver Canucks today in exchange for Vancouver’s fifth-round NHL Draught pick in 2024.
In 19 regular season games with the Maple Leafs in 2022–23, Lafferty, 28, registered six points (two goals, four assists), and in nine playoff games, he added three points (one goal, two assists). The native of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, has played in 210 NHL regular season games for Toronto, Chicago, and Pittsburgh, totaling 59 points (23 goals, 36 assists).

Maple Leafs Release the Roster for the 2023 Training Camp

At the Ford Performance Centre on Thursday, September 21, the team will begin its first on-ice practise.
At Canadian Tyre Centre on Sunday, September 24, the Maple Leafs will play the Ottawa Senators in the first game of their preseason schedule.
