Sad News : Sacramento Kings’ key player suffers career-ending injury

This year’s third meeting between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings promises to be a thrilling and competitive match with significant postseason tournament implications.

The best news, though? It’s Draymond Green again! Green is back on the court following a five-game suspension for putting Minnesota Timberwolves centre Rudy Gobert in a rear-naked choke. Green has only participated in nine of the team’s seventeen games this season due to the suspension and an injury, and in two of those nine games, he was ejected early. In a complete game, the Dubs have a 5-2 advantage. They are 3–7 when he doesn’t.

Dray, welcome back! This concludes the injury report.

Warriors Out: Usman Garuba (dislocation of right finger)

Given that Garuba is on a two-way contract and has not yet played for the Warriors, it was highly unlikely that he would play in this game. The only player listed on the injury report is him, so perhaps he’ll be well enough to return to the G League soon.

Alex Len (right high ankle sprain) is out for the Kings.

Len has played very little this year due to injuries and his position behind Domantas Sabonis and JaVale McGee in the depth chart. He won’t play in the third game between these two teams, just as he didn’t in the first two.

Keegan Murray is dubious (left SI joint irritation).

Murray’s probable loss is a significant one. The player selected fourth overall last year had an incredible rookie campaign. Although he has had a difficult time shooting the ball in his sophomore year, he is still an athletic and rangy player who plays excellent defence and makes excellent decisions. We shall feel his absence.

Keon Ellis is dubious (left ankle sprain).

Although Ellis is still figuring things out in the NBA, he has already played more minutes this season than he did the previous year as a rookie. In upcoming seasons, his 6-foot-6 height and shooting prowess could make him a vital player.

Play well, Dub Nation!
