With an upper-body injury, Mark Giordano leaves the Maple Leafs game against the Panthers.
Marner only spent 6:31 on the ice during the first period before using the locker room.
The Toronto Maple Leafs may be out for the remainder of the season due to another injury that they have been dealing with on the back end.
It’s unclear exactly what kind of injury Giordano sustained. He was on the ice for Florida’s first goal of the game, a Kevin Stenlund goal at 15:29, and had a shot on goal during his final shift in the first period.
During the same shift, Giordano also registered the game’s lone shot on goal.
Due to an upper-body injury, the team announced that Mark Giordano would not be playing in the team’s game against the Florida Panthers.

Defenseman John Klingberg, who suffered a hip injury and was placed on long-term injured reserve, is already absent for the Maple Leafs. Through 19 games this season, Giordano, 40, has averaged 18:28 of ice time. On Tuesday, he only put in 6:31 before going to the locker room. Beginning the season with Timothy Liljegren, who has been on long-term injured reserve since November 2 due to a high ankle sprain, he was part of the team’s third defenseman pair.
