Dolphins again have Terron Armstead, De’Von Achane under the injury microscope before facing Commanders

MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead and running back De’Von Achane were both brought back from injured reserve within the past month, but the two still remain injury focal points as the Dolphins prepare to turn the calendar over to December.

Armstead, after missing the start of the season with an ankle injury and later sitting out four games on IR with a knee ailment, now has a quadriceps injury that caused him to exit Friday’s win over the New York Jets early. Achane aggravated an ailing knee in his return from a four-game stint on IR in the Nov. 19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders that caused him to be held out at the Jets.

Armstead did not return to action Friday at MetLife Stadium and is considered week to week. Coach Mike McDaniel insinuated Monday he would’ve had an interesting decision during the game had the margin been within a possession, but the Dolphins led handily.

McDaniel and the Dolphins training staff will be evaluating him leading up to this Sunday’s game at the Washington Commanders (4-8).
