I’ll put my signature on that one-day deal: A star has now vow to leave

Report: Transfer portal to be accessed by Oklahoma defensive lineman

It has been stated that a defensive lineman from Oklahoma is seeking a change of scenery. According to On3, Kelvin Gilliam Jr., a previous 4-star prospect according to 247Sports and Rivals, will access the transfer site. Gilliam totaled 10 tackles over his three years at Oklahoma, including 0.5 tackles for loss. Despite signing with the Sooners in the 2021 draft class, the 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman was never able to move up the depth chart.

A redshirt sophomore in 2023, Gilliam will have a two years of eligibilty remaining at his next destination.

Along with Marcus Hicks and Reggie Grimes, Gilliam is the third defensive lineman to access the transfer portal since it opened on December 4. Gilliam is the 12th Sooner to do so. Veteran Michigan State offensive tackle Spencer Brown is the first player Oklahoma has acquired through the portal; however, the majority of OU’s offseason roster additions still need to be completed.
