Good News: This is a significant opportunity to seal the four years deal.

The Miami Hurricanes Receive Cam Ward’s First Visit Through the Transfer Portal, And This Is Important | Donno’s Opinion
The Hurricanes will make an effort to take command of the situation in order to select their best quarterback prospect.

Landing Washington State transfer quarterback Cam Ward is the top priority for the Miami Hurricanes. Ward has also been linked to significant interest from Ohio State, Florida State, Washington, USC and others.

His first campus visit since entering the transfer portal will be to the University of Miami. Don’t let anyone tell you that getting his first visit isn’t a big deal for the Hurricanes. It is.

Ward will arrive on campus in the mid-afternoon on Tuesday. Mario Cristobal and his staff have a significant opportunity to seal the deal.

Miami is in the driver’s seat, in my opinion, but getting a first visit is crucial. From what I understand, Ward and Miami have been in communication since he entered the portal last week. By now, Ward should know exactly what Miami can offer him in terms of opportunities for Name Image and Likeness (NIL) and on the field. It’s crucial that Ward sees Miami’s facilities in person and spends some time with coaches before making a decision.

Compared to high school recruits, transfers typically have a faster schedule, so they don’t normally visit schools unless they think it’s a feasible option.

Furthermore, Ward’s next trips are not scheduled at this time. There are rumors that he is assessing Florida State and other schools for possible visits later this week, but aside from his Tuesday trip to Coral Gables, nothing is confirmed as of yet.

Meanwhile, this weekend, Florida State will play host to DJ Uiagalelei, a former Clemson Tiger and transfer from Oregon State.

Before Ward departs town on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, I’m sure Miami would appreciate hearing from him. If he leaves without saying anything, everyone will be watching to see what he does next and where he ends up going. The Hurricanes will try to seal the deal today before turning their attention to other prospects.
