Pascal Siakam appears on the Raptors’ injury report.
The Toronto Raptors may be forced to play without Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The Toronto Raptors’ injuries continue to mount.

Following a very healthy start to the season, Toronto may be without Pascal Siakam against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. He was listed as questionable with back spasms on the injury report, according to the team.

Siakam scored 25 points in 32 minutes of action against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

The Raptors will already be missing Jakob Poeltl, who has been ruled out indefinitely with a sprained left ankle. He got hurt over the weekend after stepping awkwardly on Siakam’s foot.

Otto Porter Jr. is also out due to a right knee strain. He was labeled as questionable before Tuesday’s game but was promptly declared out for Wednesday.

If Siakam is unable to play, Toronto will likely start Gary Trent Jr. alongside Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, and Thad Young. In place of the injured Poeltl, Toronto gave Young his first start of the season.

Toronto’s depth has already been put to the test recently, with Chris Boucher and Jontay Porter seeing increased playing time. If Siakam is unable to play, Jalen McDaniels may be forced back into the lineup.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will only be without Moussa Diabate, who has a fracture in his right hand.

The Raptors were -10.5 point underdogs against the Clippers before the line was changed. The +355 victory odds for Toronto represent a 22% win chance.
