A talented key player reveals his surprising post-retirement plans

Travis Kelce reveals his surprising post-retirement plans: “I think I’d enjoy that”

The Chiefs’ tight end touched on the topic of retirement ahead of the team’s first playoff game against the Dolphins

Retirment doesn’t appear to be in Travis Kelce’s plans. Well, not right now. “I have no reason to stop playing football,” explained the tight end in a press conference ahead of the team’s playoff game against the Miami Dolphins. “I love it, we still have success, and come in with the right mindset. I just love the challenge that it gives me every single day to try and be at my best. Like I said, I have no desire to stop any time soon.”

That doesn’t mean that the thought hasn’t crossed his mind, though. In fact, it seems that the younger of the two Kelce brothers may have some inclination for what he wants to do in his post-football career.

When asked about what he’d be doing if he wasn’t playing football, Kelce let slip his possible plans. ” I’ve been fortunate to do a few things outside of the sports world that I’ve been enjoying doing, like getting on camera. The [Saturday Night Live] stuff kind of opened a new happiness, and maybe a new career path for me. But it’s funny for even me to say that at this point of my career because it’s so much further down the road than it is right now,” said the player.

Despite being a veteran at 34-year-old, Travis continues to be one of the most productive tight ends in the league and he’s not showing any signs of slowing down. Even so, retirement speculation is still rife.
