“I think everybody today is going to expect to do a little bit more,” Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe said Saturday. “Whether it’s our bottom players moving up or the power play and penalty kill minutes that are currently available. Even some of our best players will have to double up on occasion.”

Jarnkrok has 19 points (10 goals, 9 assists) through 46 games this season. Ryan Reaves will replace him in the Maple Leafs’ lineup when they visit the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; SN).

“We know he plays an important role, not always talked about but his ability to play anywhere in the lineup with anyone is a great trait of his and everyone enjoys playing with him just because of what he brings to the table and how he compliments everyone throughout the lineup really, really well,”

McMann has sat out the second game of Toronto’s last two back-to-backs, on January 14 against the Detroit Red Wings and January 21 against the Seattle Kraken. He has seven points (two goals and five assists) in 23 games this season.

Following Saturday’s game, the Maple Leafs are off until after the NHL All-Star break, with their next game against the New York Islanders on February 5.
