Khris Middleton: Milwaukee Bucks star poised to return from injury for season debut against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Khris Middleton has been recuperating from a wrist injury sustained during last season’s Eastern Conference playoffs, missing the Milwaukee Bucks’ opening 20 games of this season.

Khris Middleton is set to return from injury and make his season debut for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Middleton will make his first appearance since suffering a wrist injury in Game 2 of the first round of last season’s Eastern Conference playoffs against the Boston Celtics.

Middleton had offseason surgery to repair torn ligaments in July and has missed the first 20 games of the season.

His return to play would come with the Bucks 15-5 and second in the East behind Boston, having won four of their past five following a 9-0 start to the season.

Middleton was chosen an All-Star for the third time last season after averaging 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists before being severely missed against the Celtics in the playoffs.
Khris Middleton starred during the Bucks' Championship-winning campaign

He had starred in the Bucks’ Championship campaign the previous season, averaging 20.4 points, 5.4 assists, and six rebounds per game, as well as 32 points in the decisive Game 6 of the Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks, a postseason career-best 40 points in Game 4 of the finals against the Phoenix Suns, and key baskets down the stretch in Game 6 to lift his team to a long-awaited NBA title.
His availability promises to bolster a defence that is already rated top in the league, while also aiding Milwaukee’s 18th-ranked offence.
