Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell obtains an A+ mark on the NFL Players Association report card.

(CBS Detroit) – The NFL Players Association has issued its 2024 report card, which shows modest development in the Detroit Lions.

This year, the squad is rated 13th, down from 15th in 2023.

The NFLPA employed an A-F grade system for family treatment, food and cafeteria, nutritionist and dietician, locker room, training room, training staff, weight room, strength coaches, team travel, head coach, and ownership.

The Lions’ head coach, Dan Campbell, got the highest rating of an A+, ranking him third in the league.

“The players clearly enjoy working for him, with respondents calling out his willingness to listen to their locker room,” according to the research.

In 2023, Campbell guided the team to a historic season, winning its first playoff game in 32 years. The Lions proceeded to the NFC championship game before falling to the San Francisco 49ers.

The squad made a mini-movie on the 2023 season.

In other areas, the team maintained a B grade for family therapy, moving up from 12th to eighth place. The team’s training room also received a higher rating, moving from D+ in 2023 to B by 2024.

The team obtained the lowest grades for food/cafeteria (C) and nutritionist (C+). According to the research, 67% of athletes believed they had a personalised strategy with a nutritionist.

Players noted that, while there were improvements, there could be greater diversity in food offerings.
