He Is Back : Longhorns Star Player Sends Message To Fans As He Returns To The Team Today……..

Longhorns Star Jonathon Brooks Provides Injury Update at NFL Combine

Ahead of the NFL Combine, claims circulated that Texas Longhorns standout running back Jonathan Brooks would be fully recovered from his injury by training camp. On Friday, he verified the news.

The Texas Longhorns lost top running back Jonathon Brooks to a ruptured ACL against the TCU Horned Frogs in November, putting his NFL prospects in jeopardy for the rest of the season and into the new year.

However, according to all reports, Brooks has recovered quickly and, as previously stated, will be ready for training camp this summer.

He also verified the news during his interviews at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Friday.

“I’m weeks into my recovery, so I’m just starting to get to running,” Brooks said in an interview. “The expected timetable is for training camp. July 1 marks the beginning of training camp.”

Brooks had four consecutive 100-yard games during his outstanding last season with the Longhorns, including a 218-yard, two-touchdown effort against Kansas. He accumulated 1,139 yards on 187 carries and scored 10 touchdowns.

When healthy, Brooks possesses everything a club looks for in a lead rusher. He makes incisive cutbacks and moves quickly past the first line of defence. Brooks has the ability to shift into second and third gear in the open field, allowing him to make big gains and consistently get first downs.

Scouts are concerned about his playing weight. Brooks, who is listed at 207 pounds, might start his career as a rotating back before adding a few pounds to improve his physique for hits at the next level.

Although his exact stats will not be revealed until he weighs in at the combine.
