Why are players leaving? Another star player sends farewell message To Fans As He Leaves The Team Due To…….

Wests Tigers disclose departures following the season from hell.

At least five current Tigers players will never play for the club again.

Following the poorest season in the joint venture’s history, the Wests Tigers used their last round home game at Leichhardt Oval to announce the departure of five players for 2023.

The club revealed in a halftime video that James Roberts, James Tamou, Jock Madden, Kelma Tuilagi, and Luke Garner will all leave at the conclusion of the season, putting an end to rumours over their remaining contract difficulties.

when fighting in court to win a final round goodbye, Tamou is poised to end his 300-game career when the club did not give him a new contract. After playing for North Queensland and Penrith, the premiership champion joined Concord and appeared in 37 games.

Garner, who was born in Dubbo, will replace Viliame Kikau in the 2021 Premiership season. He rose to prominence in the NRL with the Tigers, appearing in 74 games and scoring 23 tries between 2018 and 2022.

Roberts has announced his retirement after 12 seasons in the NRL, although his final campaign was marred by form and injury issues.

The former NRL Dally M Centre of the Year began his career with South Sydney as a teenager before moving on to Penrith, the Gold Coast Titans, the Brisbane Broncos, and a return to the Rabbitohs before joining the Tigers.

He played 166 NRL games, scoring 77 tries, and also represented NSW at the State of Origin level.

Tuilagi will head for the Northern Beaches after signing a three-year contract with the Manly Sea Eagles. He was perhaps one of the Tigers’ most consistent young players in 2022, appearing in all but two games. He quits after only 26 games with the Tigers since his debut in Round 20, 2021.

Madden, 22, will be out of contract at the conclusion of the season and is expected to sign with the Panthers, though the terms have yet to be verified. This year, the 22-year-old appeared in 13 games and impressed when given the opportunity.

Meanwhile, the club has only signed three players for 2023, all of whom are highly regarded talents: Isaiah Papali’i, two-time premiership winner Apisai Koroisau, and 21-year-old prop Sione Fainu from Manly.
