MARCH 12
JALEN MILLS GOES TO GIANTS – The Patriots’ secondary will look different in 2024, thanks to the departure of free-agent cornerback/safety Jalen Mills to the Giants.
On Monday, New York lost Xavier McKinney to the Packers. Mills, 29, signed a four-year, $24 million contract with the Patriots in 2021, but has slowly regressed. Last season, he started eight games but earned only one pass defense, no interceptions, or sacks.
He was formerly regarded to be New England’s top cornerback, but the arrival of 2023 rookie Christian Gonzalez has pushed him down the depth chart.
