Good News For Rabbitohs” He Is Back

Various reports regarding when Jai Arrow may recover from his injuries
He might not play for the rest of the season.

It looks like the South Sydney Rabbitohs may have lost a lot of players this season because of the differing reports on Jai Arrow’s expected medical return.

The Origin forward missed the team’s Round 1 match against the Manly Sea Eagles in Las Vegas due to a rotator cuff issue.

News Corp stated that Arrow has “next to no chance of playing again in 2024,” but the team is so eager to get him back on the pitch this season that they have decided to postpone surgery.

Journalist Danny Weidler of The Sydney Morning Herald claims that Arrow intends to return for Round 8, despite the publication’s report that he might miss the rest of the season.

“We’re looking at a conservative treatment, which we’re looking at sort of 6-8 weeks,” Head of Performance Andrew Croll of the club stated earlier this week.

He’s making good progress; he’s only working to regain his strength. He is competing on the field, but only on a weekly basis.”

The club also provided an injury update on Jack Wighton, Alex Johnston, Campbell Graham, Tyrone Munro and Ben Lovett.

“Jack Wighton’s pulled up with a sore knee. We’ve had him scanned and ruled out anything suspicious there,” Croll added on the other injuries.

“He looks like he will be okay for this weekend.”

“Alex Johnston copped a facial injury, and he’ll need to see a specialist and dental expert, but nothing that should rule him out from this weekend’s match.”

“The scans look like its healing well, so probably 2-3 weeks away from a return. He’ll start some heavier gym and contact loading in the next few weeks but we’ll put a plan closer to his return date,” he continued on Munro.

“In the upcoming weeks, Campbell Graham is scheduled to see a specialist.

“Things are going great, albeit they are still moving very slowly at first. A due date will be announced later in the season.

“There’s some really good news, Ben Lovett. It appears that he has changed.

“He was drilling in the field, and his next immediate objective is to start running again.

“Things have turned around for him; we’re confident he’ll make great strides on the field in the upcoming months. He’s made some very fantastic improvements in the gym with his leg strength.
