Huge Setback For Vikings: The Vikings Have Now Lost Two Prominent Player To The……..

Vikings Injury Updates: Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, and D.J. Wonnum.
Hear from Kevin O’Connell on the Vikings’ injuries from Sunday’s game.

The Vikings suffered several injuries during their 30-24 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, Mekhi Blackmon, and D.J. Wonnum, all key starters, departed the game and were unable to return.

Addison’s injury is to the ankle. Hockenson’s is a knee; he received a powerful, direct shot to the knee during a reception in the third quarter. Wonnum was taken off with what the Vikings believe to be a quad injury. Blackmon injured his shoulder.

Although Blackmon’s condition appears to be minor, the other three are being evaluated further and there is concern that their injuries are serious.

“I do believe so,” Kevin O’Connell replied when asked if some of the injuries appeared serious. “I can’t confirm any of those, but with two weeks left to go… we’ve got some really tough guys, we’ve got some guys that are all trying to battle their way back in there, but I do believe so.”

These are significant losses for the Vikings, who are currently outside of the postseason picture with two games remaining (against the Packers and Lions). Hockenson and Addison are two of the team’s top three passing targets. Wonnum is having a terrific season in his contract year, with eight sacks, six passes defended, and a fumble return touchdown.

More information on the status of these wounded players should be available in the following days.
