Good News For Wahoo Elemnt: Wahoo Elemnt Has Unveiled a big update for its two ……..

Wahoo improves the ELEMNT user experience with new ‘Ready to Ride’ upgrade.
The latest upgrade from the cycling technology and cycle computer brand replaces the user interface with a new home screen.

Wahoo has released a major update to its two iconic ELEMNT cycling computers, known as the ‘Ready to Ride’ update. The software update significantly alters the user interface and user experience of both the ROAM V2 and BOLT V2 computers.

The improvements are focused on the start page. Currently, the Wahoo ELEMNT’s opening page is the primary workout screen, with all of the information set to zero until activity is detected, the rider selects start, or you press the side button, which takes you to the settings page.

The update will instead lead you to a website with all the information you could possibly need and a sleeker layout with all of those things you would have to seek for, right?

“Ready to Ride is a new menu screen on ELEMNT bike computers that provides users with fast, intuitive access to all of the frequently needed pre-ride functions including the sensor menu, route loading and battery status,” Wahoo described in its press release.

“Ready to Ride was inspired and developed by user feedback and builds on Wahoo’s mission to provide their athletes with easier access to features they value and love. At its core, is a revised menu which will be optionally shown to the user when the computer starts. The revised user interface makes it easy to load a route or planned workout and check that the correct sensors are paired. You can also effortlessly view other key data such as GPS signal status, WiFi status, phone connection, and time of day.”

Furthermore, with electronic shifting becoming increasingly prevalent across all price points of new motorcycles, the new update makes it nearly difficult to fall victim to an empty shifting battery.

“As part of the Ready to Ride feature, the battery status for electronic shifting systems (Shimano Di2, SRAM eTAP) is now a data field which can be shown on any workout screen so you can keep an eye on your battery charge throughout your ride,” according to a press statement. “Post ride, you’ll also receive a handy alert on your ride summary screen if the ELEMNT or any paired sensor needs to be charged.”

The upgrade follows the summer updates, which included the ‘Summit’ function and interaction with Trailforks to enable off-road routing. Updates will be available to everyone with an up-to-date Wahoo ELEMNT computer, but only the version 2 edition of the ROAM and BOLT will receive full functionality from the new update.
