THAT AIN’T ME: Blue Jays minor-league pitcher claims Topps put someone else on his trading card.The Blue Jays’ minor-league pitcher, who made his MLB debut with the team last August before suffering a season-ending injury, airing his grievances on the social media network X, formerly Twitter.Danner appears to have already informed Topps authorities that the photo they planned to use was actually of someone else.

“Definitely not even close to being me,” Danner posted on X. “What have we got, @Topps? I told you it wasn’t me, yet I still got released.”
Danner is currently a triple-A Buffalo Bisons player who is on the Jays’ 40-man roster. He was the triple-A pitcher called up in August after the Jays returned Alek Manoah to the minors for the second time last season.


Another professional pitcher, Bradin Hagens, appeared to clear the air, responding to the picture with the statement, “That is definitely me from my time in double AA Mobile back in either 2013 or 2014.”
