Pittsburgh Steelers has denied and suspended their coach due to

Three clubs with whom the Steelers might potentially trade back in the NFL Draft.
If the Steelers want to trade back, they will have several prospective partners.

The Pittsburgh Steelers presently have the No. 20 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and have various options for who they select at that position.

With needs at center, tackle, wide receiver, and cornerback, Pittsburgh will have options. However, there is a universe where they don’t like the hand they’re dealt and try to construct their own deal by moving down in the first round. If this is the case, they will have several prospective dance partners.

Detroit Lions
The Lions added D.J. Reader to their defensive line this offseason and may want to add another huge playmaker in the middle of that group. If Johnny Newton of Illinois is available at No. 20 and the Steelers do not like their selections or believe they can move back and still get the player they want, a trade might be made. The Lions own the 29th pick in the first round, as well as the 61st, 73rd, and 92nd picks in the top 100. If Detroit offered 29 and 73, it would benefit both parties.

San Francisco 49ers
A first-round selection swap could be included in a hypothetical Brandon Aiyuk trade. Moving down to No. 31 from No. 20, as well as giving away their second round pick in this year’s draft and a third in 2025, is something I could see happening to benefit the 49ers. They get to move up and draft a receiver to try to cover the void that Aiyuk will leave, as well as an additional second-round pick, while the Steelers keep a first-round pick and get a huge difference-maker at receiver that they can lock up for the long term.

Buffalo Bills
When it comes to a potential deal for Aiyuk, the Bills should also be considered. They now have no credible boundary receivers after trading Stefon Diggs. If they don’t make a big move and someone like Brian Thomas is available, they may ask the Steelers to move up eight positions, from No. 28 to No. 20. Buffalo does not have a third-round pick in 2024, so it will be fascinating to see what they offer. No. 60 in round two is on the table, but would they give it up to advance eight spots? Will picks 128 and/or 133 be sufficient to persuade the Steelers? Or perhaps future picks in the 2025 NFL Draft
